Cumins KTA19-C Features

Turbocharger

The Cummins Turbo Technologies (CTT) exhaust gas-driven turbocharger is strategically mounted at the top of the engine. This placement optimizes air intake and exhaust flow, maximizing the engine’s power output and efficiency.

Fuel System

The Cummins PT self-adjusting system ensures precise fuel delivery based on engine load and operating conditions, enhancing fuel efficiency and reducing emissions. The integral dual flyweight governor provides overspeed protection, safeguarding the engine against potential damage by controlling the engine speed independently of the main governor.

Cylinder Block

Constructed from alloy cast iron, the cylinder block offers a balance of strength and weight, ensuring durability and reliability in demanding operating conditions. The inclusion of removable wet liners facilitates easier maintenance and repair, while the cross-bolt support to the main bearing cap enhances structural integrity and stability, especially under heavy loads or high-performance applications.

Aftercooler

The engine incorporates a large-capacity aftercooler, which efficiently cools the compressed intake air after it passes through the turbocharger. This results in a denser intake of air, promoting more efficient combustion and reducing internal stresses on engine components, ultimately extending the engine’s operational lifespan.
