The ISF2.8 offers exceptional performance and low weight with low operating costs and Cummins reliability and durability. It is perfect for light commercial vehicles such as pickups, trucks, vans, and utility vehicles. The ISF2.8 engine is the lightest, strongest, and most reliable in its displacement category. It is ideal for installations with weight and space constraints below 3.5 tons gross vehicle weight.
The ISF2.8 features advanced thermal engineering and electronic integration as well as a High-Pressure Common Rail Fuel System. Cummins’ wastegate turbocharger provides excellent performance throughout the rpm range, and improved response with higher torque at low end.
The ISF2.8 is currently available in Euro III and Euro IV emission levels. It offers high torque and power for an engine this size and weight. Cummins used modular architecture in order to build the ISF2.8, which is capable of meeting the most stringent emission regulations today and tomorrow. It is possible to achieve lower emissions beyond Euro IV without compromising performance or having a significant impact on the installation
