What is an Adblue Dosing pump?
Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) dosing pump – reduces the amount of harmful Nitrogen oxide released into the atmosphere. The dosing unit is designed to inject AdBlue (r) into the exhaust system. The injection component has an active cooling system which allows it to be used in the exhaust system at high temperatures.
That means, Urea dosing pumps are used to deliver the exact amount of urea required for SCR reactions and ensure uniform mixing of ammonia and urea with the exhaust gases. The urea injected is atomized and diluted to a smaller size, allowing a complete conversion into ammonia. This can reduce the risk of fouling from solid deposits. Nox Sensors work together with it to reduce toxic gases from emissions and to exhaust cleaner gas into the environment.

Urea-SCR is being used more and more in diesel engines due to the need for fuel efficiency and engine efficiency. The increased NOx conversion efficiency in SCR systems could eventually allow the elimination of engine-based NOx control strategies, such as EGR.
