KTA19-Marine Features

The Cummins KTA19-M series marine main engine is a 6-cylinder inline, 18.9-liter four-stroke engine with a bore and stroke of 159 mm (6.25 in). Equipped with a PT Fuel System and turbocharger, the K19-M series marine main engine offers a prime power range from 425 HP to 700 HP (317 kW to 522 kW). The torque range of the K19-M series marine main engine spans from 1815 N.m to 2830 N.m.

CCEC marine main engines feature various configurations denoted by codes in the engine model name. The “T” code signifies a turbocharged engine, “TA” indicates a turbocharged engine with a water-air intercooler, and “TAA” denotes a turbocharged engine with an air-air intercooler.

Dependable Cummins PT fuel system precise engine fueling. Step Timing Control (STC), allows for smooth acceleration of the engine under load. Ceramic components are used in the manufacture of premium fuel injectors to increase durability.

Engine Design

The engine block is designed to be durable and able to withstand continuous operation. Fluid leakage is eliminated by metric 0-ring gaskets and edge-molded seals. Power take-off is available at the front of the crankshaft. Single-piece aluminum piston with hardened liners, nitride-coated rings, and a nitride-coated ring for durability.

Lubrication System

Oil pan made of cast aluminum or marine grade steel (37 L [9.7 gallons]). Cummins spin-on oil filters are available to simplify service.

Electrical System

Standard electrical system 24 volts

Exhaust System

The water-cooled exhaust manifold lowers emissions while cooling the engine surface temperature.
