Cummins NTA855-Marine

NTA855-M FEATURES

The Cummins NTA855-M series marine engine is a 6-cylinder inline, 14-liter four-stroke engine with a 140 mm (5.5 in) bore and a 152 mm (6.0 in) stroke. Equipped with a PT Fuel System and turbocharger, this series offers a prime power range from 220 HP to 450 HP (164 kW to 336 kW). The torque range spans from 1044 N.m to 2612 N.m.

Different configurations of Cummins marine main engines exist, denoted by codes in the engine model names: “T” signifies a turbocharged engine, “TA” indicates a turbocharged engine with water-air intercooler, and “TAA” denotes a turbocharged engine with air-air intercooler.

Hawks Parts offers both heat exchanger cooling and keel cooling marine engines based on standard Cummins marine main engines. We provide comprehensive life cycle services, including design, power system supply, installation, commissioning, after-sales service training, spare parts supply, troubleshooting, and overhaul technical support, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for all our customers.

We also provide Cummins engine parts for the Cummins NTA855 NT855 series, Genuine and aftermarket parts including water pump, injectors, crankshaft, camshaft, and more.

Fuel System

Full authority PT Fuel System optimizes combustion to enhance fuel economy, reduce emissions, and minimize smoke. Ceramic components are used in the premium fuel injectors for improved durability.

Cooling System

Plate-type heat exchangers are available for keel cooling or engine mounting. Cummins corrosion-resistant spin-on for protection against cooling systems corrosion.

Air System

WCTT (Holset HT3B) turbochargers for marine applications. After cooling the water pump for optimum performance and efficient operation

Certifications

Emissions conform to IMO Annex 6 of MARPOL 73/78 Guidelines. CCS Register offers certifications.

Engine Design

The engine block is designed to be durable and able to withstand continuous operation. Fluid leaks are eliminated by metric 0-ring gaskets and edge-molded seals. Power take-off is available at the front of the crankshaft. Single-piece piston with hardened liners, nitride-coated ring, and rings.

Lubrication System

The Fleetguard spin-on filters provide longer service intervals with less maintenance. Oil pans with a standard capacity of 34.0 L [9.0 Gal] or a large capacity of 36. L [9.5 Gal] is available to allow for longer oil changes. The Prelub system prevents damage to the engine due to dry starting.

Electrical System

Alternator, 24 volts 100 amps with isolated components.

Exhaust System

The water-cooled exhaust manifold lowers emissions while cooling the engine surface temperature.
